Omega Specialty Instrument Co. was founded in January, 1982. The company occupies an 10,000 square foot manufacturing plant in Smock Pennsylvania. Omega's first product was Pure Homopolymer PVC filter disks for gravimetric analysis. Since then, a variety of filters, sampling devices and accessories have been added to the product line.

Since its inception, the company has focused in providing high quality value added products to the Industrial Hygiene community. The purpose is to remove as much low value labor from your staff and allow them to focus on higher value operations. Prime examples are; the growing use of our PRE-WEIGH™ line of pre-weighed PVC filters for gravimetric analysis and the use of ISO-CHEK® for measuring Vapor and Aerosol fractions of Isocyanates.

Our research staff is constantly working to innovate new sampling devices to meet the challenges of tomorrow. Omega is a member of ASTM D-22.04 Committee on "Air Sampling in the Workplace Environment" and actively participates in standard development. We are also an associate member of AIHA and ACGIH.
